While having my coffee this morning, I heard a ruckus on the side porch. I went to check and found two chickens exploring the porch while my outside cats lounged about in two boxes that missed the trash run today. One of the chickens had apparently laid an egg on the porch, so I came through the house to unlock that door and pick the egg up. Before I could get there, though, one of our goats apparently decided to join the party and managed to break the egg. By the time I got to the door, the two cats and the goat were taking turns eating the yolk of the egg.
It was quite charming to watch the animals taking turns eating the egg yolk. So charming, in fact, that I decided to wait a few minutes before going outside to shoo them away.
