We love Penzeys Spices. Their prices are good and the quality is excellent. We got an email recently, letting us know that Penzeys was having a sale with free shipping on orders over $20 and a freebie on their HOPE gift box.
Penzey’s Spice Order
I put together an order really fast so I could take advantage of this deal! I like to make my own vanilla, so we ordered Mexican Vanilla Beans. 3 come in a long glass tube. I’ll start the vanillas steeping now and it will be ready to pour into canning jars around Christmas. Quick, inexpensive gift idea! Vanilla Beans are going up in price. These 3 were $18.95, which is a good price right now.
I also ordered a small jar of pickling spice. It’s a 1/4 cup jar, which will do a small batch of pickles for us. For $2.95, it was the right price to reach the $20 threshold for free shipping.
Penzeys had a code for the HOPE gift box, which includes Penzeys 1.7 ounce Salsa & Pico mix AND a 2.0 fluid ounce bottle of Mexican Vanilla Extract! There is also a cute fridge magnet that says “Kind” and a lapel pin that says “Embrace Hope”. Not sure where I’ll use the pin, but I think it’s adorable.

There was also a .2 ounce gift of French Thyme. We will try it out. It’s one of the nicest perks from Penzey’s, that they always include a little gift in each order. Their website also has recipes and tips about using spices, making it easy to find ways to use unfamiliar spices.
We’ve never had issues with any Penzeys order, so I haven’t had to deal with any customer service people. However, we do love the spices they sell and we know that we are getting exactly what we wanted. With some other online retailers, we have had issues with receiving under-filled jars or the wrong spice. Penzeys always gets it right the first time! For our entire order, including shipping, the price was $21.98
